Burning Question:
It’s National Administrative Professionals Day, or Secretaries Day, What great things can you say about an administrative professional in your Life?
Morning Devotional:
Signs Are Important
On my way to work lately, construction has been added on top of construction. One of my main routes now has lane closures, which is fine. I get it. Roads need fixing.
What’s frustrating is the signage.
It feels like the instructions for where you’re supposed to go show up after you needed them. Three different times now, I’ve had to make a last-second turn, drift out of my lane, or awkwardly correct course just to get back where I was supposed to be.
All I really needed… were better signs.
It made me think about how important clear direction is in life. When we don’t have it, we drift. We guess. We make sudden corrections. Sometimes we end up somewhere we never meant to go.
God hasn’t left us without guidance.
Psalm 119 105 says, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”
Notice it doesn’t say a floodlight for the next five miles. It’s a lamp for your feet. Just enough light for the next step.
When we ignore God’s Word, we shouldn’t be surprised if we feel confused about which lane we’re supposed to be in. But when we stay close to it, reading it, listening to it, obeying it ; He guides us. Step by step.
If life feels frustrating right now, maybe the answer isn’t a bigger sign. Maybe it’s slowing down long enough to look at the one He’s already given you.
Because God is faithful to direct the traffic of your life, if you’re willing to follow His signs.
