Burning Question:
What is your absolute favorite worship song?
Morning Devotional:
My heart tends to beat a little faster when I hear the word “storm.”
I enjoy a good healthy round of thunderstorms. Bring me flashes of lightning and booms of thunder and I am giddy as a schoolgirl. When storms turn severe, that’s when I go into action mode and get prepared.
Other than a few shingles getting damaged a couple of years ago, I have never had property damaged in a storm. On the other hand, some of those “storms of life” have done quite a bit of harm.
The sudden, unexpected crises that creep up on us can really turn our world upside down. They don’t have to when we place our trust in the One who is in control. In Isaiah 41:13, we find this promise from the Lord: “For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, “Do not fear; I will help you.”
If you see a storm coming your way, know that it’s not taking God by surprise. Reach for His hand and know He is your help and refuge.
