Burning Question:
What is your favorite gift?
Morning Devotional:
The atmosphere in church yesterday was amazing, but I was especially blessed by a scene that played out two rows in front of me.
During the worship time, a young dad had his son sitting on his shoulders. He was bouncing the boy to the rhythm of the music, lifting up his arms from time to time, encouraging him to worship. They were having the best time – so much that at one point the son started encouraging his little sister to do the same thing! ITo them, praising God was a celebration. To my weary heart, it was a breath of fresh air.
I believe this family was fulfilling the call of Psalm 145:4 where it says, “One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts.” He was teaching his son that God deserves our praise, but also how to experience the joy of the Lord. If we want the next generation to be passionate about the things of God, I say we let them see ours first.
