Burning Question:
If you had to impress someone with your cooking, what meal would you cook?
Morning Devotional:
Yesterday, I hit a wall. I was so exhausted that I ended up crashing on my couch yesterday afternoon and sleeping for four hours straight. When I finally woke up, I realized how much my body had been screaming for that reset. I also realized I needed the rest emotionally and spiritually, too – big time.
I am so prone to try and power through stress and worry on my own strength until I get to the point when I am depleted. That’s when I know I have forgotten the invitation Jesus gives us in Matthew 11:28: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
That nap was a physical necessity yesterday, but sitting at the feet of Jesus is a spiritual one we need to take in daily. If you’re feeling “soul-tired” this morning, take a moment to breathe and lean into Him.
