What Day Is It?

Burning Question:

What Easter plans are you excited for?

Morning Devotional:

There are certain words that drive my dog crazy.

Take for instance, the word “walk.” We went for a couple of them yesterday afternoon, but as I kept asking her how much she enjoyed her “walk” last night, she got all the more excited. She thought we were venturing out again.

There are other words that will perk Abbie’s ears such as “treat,” “chicken, “toy,” and one I think is the best of all, “Candy.” That’s the name of my neighbor who watches Abbie at times during the day and loves to take her for walks. Abbie loves Candy like crazy.

My dog finds so much joy in just the mention of her favorite things. Where do we find our joy?  I think Psalm 16:11 gives us some clues:  “You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.” If you need some joy today, think of words such as forgiveness, grace, mercy, love, or eternity. But definitely think of Jesus. He’s my favorite source of joy.
