Burning Question:
What is your best under- or over-medicated story?
Morning Devotional:
I got out of bed the other morning only to make a horrible discovery. A loose hose on my water softener caused my utility room to flood, saturating the carpeting outside my bedrooms and a small portion of my living room with water.
I immediately sprang into action, using my shop vac and carpet shampooer to try and soak up as much water as I could. It took a good two days to get the carpet close to dry, but it is definitely not clean. The carpet is discolored, likely permanently, and I am probably going to have to replace it.
When it comes to getting a stain out of carpeting, I am at a loss. The same holds true with the stain of my sinfulness. But there is a remedy and it is revealed in Isaiah chapter one. In verse 18, God says, ‘Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.”
What we can’t scrub away ourselves, Jesus washed away through the sacrifice He made on the cross. It’s the most beautiful clean-up job in all of history.
