Burning Question:
What is your true calling?
Morning Devotional:
I haven’t been sleeping well as of late. With lots on my mind and all kinds of prayer needs in front of me, the night hours have been the place where the Lord and I have been conducting business.
While I would certainly enjoy getting more sleep, I haven’t really minded the late night hours. After all, God has a track record of doing some of his best work after dark.
For instance, God parted the Red Sea for the Israelites in the middle of the night. God appeared to Jacob at night and wrestled with him until daybreak, transforming Jacob in the process. Jesus chose the darkness just before dawn to walk on the water to save His disciples from the storm on the Sea of Galilee. In each of these events, night was the setting for the moments when people faced fear, uncertainty, or despair. And in each of those moments, the Lord showed up.
Whatever dark hours you may be experiencing now, know that the Lord is with you in them and will see you through them. There are good things coming in the morning.
