Burning Question:
What is a place you have always wanted to visit, and why?
Morning Devotional:
I was taking a nap yesterday afternoon when I got a call from a co-worker. They were locked out of the studio building and asked if I could come and unlock the door. I hopped in the car and headed back to work to find my co-worker outside, pacing along the sidewalk outside the front door.
I’ve been locked out of my fair share of homes and cars before, and it is never a comfortable situation. When you’re locked out, you’re stuck in a space you weren’t meant to stay in – you’re not where you actually belong.
In a spiritual sense, it’s much the same way. Sometimes we feel shut out of God’s presence because of our mistakes, and we think the door is locked forever. The Lord says otherwise. In John 10:9, Jesus says, “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved.” (John 10:9)
Jesus provides us entry into the Kingdom. Trusting in Him is the key.
