Burning Question:
What big idea would you like to be remembered for?
Morning Devotional:
I was apparently overtired yesterday because when I got home from work, I immediately fell asleep in my recliner. I woke up to discover that my dog, Abbie, had dragged out all of her toys and placed them at my feet. She was sitting there in the middle of the pile, in her full “please notice me” mode, waiting for me to wake up and play. I felt a little bit guilty about neglecting her.
There are times when we think our heavenly Father isn’t paying attention to us but that is never the case. Psalm 121 reminds us that “He who keeps you will not slumber. He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.” (vs. 3-4)
God doesn’t need a power nap to stay focused on your life. Whether it’s the middle of the night or a weary Monday afternoon, He is wide awake, attentive, and ready to respond to whatever we bring to His feet.
