What Day Is It?

Burning Question:

What is your best life hack for surviving extreme cold?

Morning Devotional:

An unfortunate discovery at home on Friday sent me to our local home improvement store on Saturday. I asked a clerk where to find a crucial item I needed, and he knew exactly where it was – on the opposite side of the store. When he offered to take me to the item, I happily said, “Sure!”

That was the last time I saw him.

I had tried to follow him, but his youth, fast pace and long legs left me in the dust. Once he rounded a corner and ducked into the aisles, he was gone and I was hopelessly lost.

Following from a distance can be just as bad as not following someone at all, especially when it comes to our faith. When we try to follow Jesus from a safe, comfortable distance, we eventually lose the trail. Following Jesus isn’t just about direction; it’s about proximity. Let’s make sure we’re closing the gap and staying on His heels.
