Morning Devotional:
My dog, Abbie, has made a permanent change to our evening schedule. She has declared the end of the night as zoomie time!
Abbie will run full tilt through the house, flying across the furniture like a furry lightning bolt. Her last lap ends on the bed where she fluffs her desired spot, lands with a thud and goes to sleep. How she goes from one extreme to another is beyond me.
I think many of us live in “zoomie mode,” thinking we can’t have peace. But Jesus says in Matthew 11:28, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” That rest begins with the decision to finally come to Him, “thud” into His grace and let our heart find peace.
