What Day is it?

Burning Question:

What is the boldest thing you’ve ever done because of your faith in Jesus?

Morning Devotional:

So, I was having a rough moment yesterday. I was coming off of a less-than-ideal weekend, I hadn’t slept well the night before, I was fighting off a cold, and I had received some news that didn’t sit well with me. All I wanted to do was put my forehead on my desk and stay there.

At that moment, I heard a faint “good morning” at my office door. The greeting from my co-worker turned to a quick “Are you okay?” and the listening ear I desperately needed.  I was able to tell her how I was doing, unload a couple of woes, and after receiving a long hug, I felt a lot better. Still pretty sleepy, but better.

I love how God puts people in my path to carry my burdens and help me through the daily battles. That is part of His strategy. As it says in Ecclesiastes chapter four, “One may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.” The most vital part of a successful victory campaign is the next part of the verse: “A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”  When the fight gets hard, we need to trust in Him to get us through it. We also need to grab a friend and declare together that God is with us and that He is our strength. Sometimes the whole regiment needs to hear that.
