What Day is it?

Burning Question:

It’s National School Picture Day!   What happened at the photo shoot?

Morning Devotional:

I was doing some work here the other day, and one of the tasks I needed to complete was to download a program onto a laptop. It was a task I have done before, several times. I was doing fine until I got a message from out of nowhere that said, “access denied.” That made no sense to me at all because what I was trying to do should have worked. Somehow, the powers that be in the little screen I was staring into were keeping me out.

This all happened before my lunch break and continued into the evening. A frustrating situation, but it gave me the opportunity to talk with the Lord and get some needed perspective. Even though I may not always have access to certain things, I always have access to Him because of His son.

In Romans 5:1-2, the apostle Paul says, “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand.” Because of Jesus and what He did on the cross for us, we have an all-access pass to the throne room of grace. If you’re feeling locked out of a victory today, God says you can come to Him. His door is wide open!
