Burning Question:
What is something that you’ve kept for many years in hopes that “someday” it will be worth something?
Morning Devotional:
So Many Babies!
Our church has had a bit of a baby boom lately. I think we’ve had at least three new babies in the past month—two of them twins! At our last church potluck, it felt like every other person was cuddling a little one. People were passing them around, doting on them, and just soaking up that sweet baby joy. Even I got to hold a little guy for a few minutes.
There’s something so heartwarming about a newborn. All that innocence. All that potential. A whole future just beginning. And of course… all that work. As happy as I was to hold him, I was just as happy to hand him back!
Babies are a powerful reminder—not just of new life, but of how God works. Every baby is a picture of promise, of possibility, and of dependence. They can’t do anything on their own. They need to be held, fed, guided, and loved. And in that way, they remind me of us.
No matter how old we are, we’re still God’s children—completely dependent on Him for every breath, every blessing, every bit of growth. And just like those babies being passed from one set of loving arms to another, we are held by a Father who never puts us down.
1 John 3:1 says,
“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!”
Whether you’re cradling a newborn or just trying to hold it all together today, remember—you are God’s beloved child. He’s not tired of holding you. He delights in you, cares for you, and is walking with you every step of the way.
So rest in His arms today. You’re in good hands.
