Burning Question:
What is one habit or practice that has helped you seek God more intentionally?
Morning Devotional:
It is no secret that I am a chocoholic.
I love the stuff, and I will practically inhale it in most every shape or form it comes in. When I had the opportunity to sample a sea salt caramel chocolate I had never tried before, I did not delay and I was not disappointed, either. I immediately purchased a bag of it to stock my emergency supply at work.
If you were to ask me what is good and right in this world, for me, chocolate would be very near the top of the list. A taste of my favorite treat always makes me feel better. But not everyone in this world likes chocolate. What seems good to me may be sour to someone else’s palate. Our opinions get in the way of truth.
That’s why we as believers need to be consistently seeking the Lord and spending time with Him. We need to be searching out what He says is right and doing what He says we need to do. We are to be in His Word, taking in His truth as our food, our sustenance. We need to “taste and see that the Lord is good.”
God’s Word not only tastes good, but it’s good for you, too. Make sure you get your daily dose.
