The Burning Question:
What do you remember as the scariest moment of your life?
Morning Devotional:
It took well over an hour, and that was about 55 minutes too long.
Last night I was trying to download a driver update onto a computer. It was for an audio recorder I have used before, on a computer I have used before and it should have been a very fast and easy operation. It took forever to accomplish, all because I had to jump over a number of database hurdles and go through a host of cyber-hoops to make all the little internet people happy.
An hour later, I had what I needed but I wasn’t happy by the time I got it. I was frustrated, exhausted and disappointed because while I had permission to receive what I needed for my audio box, the thing I was fighting against was a matter of access.
Do you realize every day we are in a spiritual battle? We are in a constant battle against sin, the very thing that God hates. The Word says that sin separates us from God but hallelujah, God sent His Son Jesus Christ to die on a cross for our sins. Jesus did that to secure victory over sin for us, to secure our access to the Father and His Kingdom for us forever. All we need to do to gain that access is believe in Jesus as our Savior and Lord. He is the eternal passkey we need.
