Morning Devotional:

I helped take care of Ryan the other night.  This not literally, but it felt like I was looking back in time.  On Wednesday Nights, I help out at our church in the Preschool Room.  It is part of a program dedicated to helping kids learn Bible verses and about Jesus, and in the preschool room, most of the instruction is pretty basic, but we have tons of cute little kids in there, almost 30 so we have our hands full.  Well there is one little guy, which I bet, was just like me at that exact age.  High energy!  Low focus!  All over the place.  Well he latched on to me, and it was my privilege to do my best.  During the lesson time, I untied my shoes and just let him mess with my shoe laces.  It kept him focused and I hope he was able to pick up on the verses he needed to learn.   Whenever he got just a little too much to handle, I had to remind myself, this is you!!!  How many times when I was small, did a church volunteer have to buckle down and take care of Ryan?  Well, now it’s my time.   Maybe it’s’ your time too… Is there a way you can speak into someone younger than you?  I bet if you look, that opportunity is there.  Maybe Pray for it.  You may have been called to be the person that keeps the Chain of service going.
