Morning Devotional:
My boys were shepherds again. And trust me, they were fine with it. Their favorite part of the Christmas program and I’ll tell you, one of my favorite parts of the Christmas program is watching them Freak out when the Angel of the Lord Arrives. She walks out from behind the curtain, and all the shepherd HIT the Deck! Then she announces the coming birth of God. It’s a great moment, and one that maybe we grownups have lost a little bit. The wonder, amazement and even fear we should have at the very idea that God is coming to visit. And not just to visit, but to save us.
