Morning Devotional:
Every once in a while I have the thought that the world needs more superheroes.
As a fan of science fiction and fantasy movies, I enjoy superhero type characters. I enjoy the heroism as well as the mystique behind their stories. They come on the scene as the defender of all things good, coming to make the wrong things right again.
Sounds like a job for Jesus to me.
Fictional superheroes are just that – fictional. Jesus is the real thing. He has the ultimate power to save us. He conquered sin and death, He conquered our enemy for good when He died on the cross and rose again, and best of all, He lives!
If you’re looking for a hero today, look no further than Jesus Christ. As John 3:17 says, “For God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
