The Burning Question:
It’s World Kindness Day! What sort of things can you do today to celebrate?
Morning Devotional:
We’ve all had those moments when we just feel down. Our attitudes get into those places where we feel miserable about life, we focus on what we don’t have, what we can’t do or what we’ve lost, rather than what we have or can still do. One of the most important things we can do to turn those moments around is to remember how fortunate we are and to count the many blessings we have received because of our relationship with God.
I think David was a master at that. He definitely had his bad days! But all throughout his psalms, David cried out to God in his sufferings, and time and time again, he remembered the blessings he received from God. He recalled the demonstrations of God’s faithfulness and in doing so, he was brought to a place of peace again.
In Psalm 103:2, David says to himself and us, “Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all His benefits.” Don’t forget the many blessings you have received from God. They will sustain you!
