The Burning Question:
Beth has a free weekend coming to her. Where should she go?
Morning Devotional:
So it was the worst possible time to call the doctor’s office. Monday morning. You have had the experience before. You’re waiting forever on hold for a live person to answer your call, hearing the message over and over again, “Your call is very important to us.” Don’t you want to answer back and say, “If my call is so important to you, why don’t you pick it up?
I always contrast that moment with the speed of our connection to God. God always takes the call, there’s no wait, there’s no music on hold either. You just call out to God and He is there for you. He will listen to each and every concern we have, no matter how long it takes to tell the tale. He will also handle every issue with the care only a loving Father can provide.
Philippians 4:6 says to “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.” He wants everything in our prayers and He is ready to receive them. He will never, ever put us on hold.
