What Day Is It?
Morning Devotional:
Shortly after I came to know Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, I moved in with one of my college professors. She was my music professor, a Christian, and one of those inspiring women of faith who loved to worship, pray and linger in the Lord’s presence.
I lived with her for a year and she taught me so much about the Lord and what it meant to be a Christ follower. One of the things I loved to do with her was sit in her sunroom on Saturday mornings and enjoy a cup of tea together. We would read the Bible together, ponder the scripture passage and pray together. We would also talk about music and in one of our talks, I remember the two of us wondering what God’s singing voice might sound like.
Did you know God sings? According to Zephaniah 3:17, He does, and the love song He is singing is about you! “The Lord your God is in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” Be still before Him and savor those words. Listen closely, too. You may just hear His melody of love for you.
