The Burning Question:
What word or words get mispronounced and it bothers you?
Morning Devotional:
One of my guilty pleasures is watching videos of dog rescues online and I caught one not too long ago about a stray bull mastiff that was turned into a Los Angeles animal shelter. Thankfully, the workers there discovered the dog was microchipped, was not from L.A. at all, and that the dog’s name was Tink, which was short for Tinkerbell.
The owners were quickly called, and the video went on to document how the massive Tink was lovingly cared for by the shelter until his family could come and get him. Finally, the moment came, and a very relieved family of five were reunited with their canine companion.
I love happy endings, and the story made me wish we had more of them to celebrate. I’m not talking about lost pets, either – I’m talking about lost souls, prodigals who have lost their way and need to come home to God. If you are praying for a prodigal today, keep praying because God is working on your happy ending and He wants nothing more than to throw a party like another father did in Luke 15: “We had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.”
