Morning Devotional:
Have you ever heard the audible voice of God? I can’t confirm one way or another, but I sure thought I did.
It was shortly before I came to know Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I was severely depressed and contemplating ending my life. I was outside one afternoon yelling at the sky asking whoever was “out to get me” to tell me why I was being tormented and what exactly they wanted from me. In the middle of my rant, the words “All I want is your heart” pierced through every fiber of my being. To this day, I don’t know if I actually heard the words or just sensed them, but it doesn’t matter. I know they came from God.
Those six words led me to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and because I listened, He has faithfully guided me for more than 35 years now. God is vocal and while I can’t record His voice, He speaks to us all the same. Are you listening for His voice? And is He calling you to come to Him today?
