ALBERT LEA – KJLY – Ruby’s Pantry Food Distribution is held at the United Methodist Church in Albert Lea on the 1st Saturday of each month.  Doors open at 9:30 and distribution is from 10 to 11:30AM.

ARNOLDS PARK – KJIA – Respite Angel Care is available at Calvary United Methodist Church in Arnolds Park Thursday mornings from 9:00-11:30AM. Call 712-332-2447 for more information.

ARNOLDS PARK – KJIA – The Community Table is a free meal offered to everyone on the second Thursday of the month from 5:30 – 6:45PM at the campus of the Okoboji Bible Ministries in Arnolds Park. The 3rd Thursday meal will be held in Spirit Lake at the Bedell Family YMCA. For further information, please call 712-332-2883.

AUSTIN – KJLY – Austin’s Grace Lutheran Church hosts a Ruby’s Pop-up Pantry the third Thursday of each month from 5:00 to 6:30 PM. Doors open at 4:00 PM.

BELMOND – KJYL – Recovery Road, an addiction and recovery group, meets at Belmond Evangelical Free Church every Wednesday at 6:30PM. There is no fee to attend. For questions, please contact Randy at 515-825-8113.

BLOOMINGTON – KJGT – A Community Food Pantry is provided by Food in the Hood and Cedar Valley Church the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 5-7PM in the Atrium of Cedar Valley Church. There is no income requirement to receive food-only to fill out a form when you arrive. In addition to food service and support services, foot care services will also be offered.

BLUE EARTH – KJLY – The Blue Earth Valley Quilters meet on the third Monday of each month with the exception of July and December. Announcements and photos can be found on Facebook under the group name Blue Earth Valley Quilters. For more information call 507-526-3979.

BLUE EARTH – KJLY – Silver Sneakers, exercise for seniors, meets at 10AM each Monday and Wednesday year-round at the Fitness Center in Blue Earth.  For more information or to register call 507-526-3376.

BLUE EARTH – KJLY – Interfaith Caregivers offer two support groups each month. The Parkinson support group meets the second Thursday of the month at 1:30 PM and the Dementia support group gathers every fourth Tuesday at 10:00 AM. BURNSVILLE – KJGT – Loaves and Fishes, Community Meals To Go are given out every Wednesday at Faith Covenant Church from 5:30 – 6:30 pm.

ROWEN – KJYL – First Lutheran Church and ISU Extension Office of Wright County support the Rowan Food Pantry which is open Mondays and Wednesdays 10AM -6PM, Friday 10AM -5PM and Saturdays 9AM – Noon at the Rowan Community Center.

DELL – KJLY – Dell Lutheran Church hosts Pioneer Club every Wednesday from 3:15 p.m. – 5:15 p.m. This is a free club for mature preschoolers – 5th grade. Register by calling Dell Lutheran Church.

DODGE CENTER – KJCY – Bible Lutheran Church in Dodge Center will hold an “Open Door” every Tuesday from 2:00 PM until 4:30 PM. Come in for prayer, fellowship, coffee and snacks. The library will also be open for your use. Call the church at 507-514-4044 with questions.

ESTHERVILLE – KJIA – A Free Community Meal called Wesley’s Kitchen is every 3rd Monday of each month at United Methodist Church from 11:00AM – 12:30PM.

ESTHERVILLE – KJIA – The mobile food pantry from the Food Bank of Iowa will be at the Good News Estherville Church every first Thursday of the month. Recipients are asked to arrive between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM and to bring bags, laundry boxes, or boxes to carry the food.

ESTHERVILLE – KJIA – Free Breakfast Saturday takes place on the third Saturday of every month at Grandview Church’s gym in Estherville. Burritos, pancakes, sausage, eggs, milk, juice and coffee for everyone. Come between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM to enjoy breakfast and time with others. If you have questions, call 712-330-1145.

FAIRMONT – KJLY – Celebrate Recovery meets every Thursday evening at 6PM at Bethel Evangelical Free Church, in Fairmont.

FARIBAULT & MARTIN COUNTIES – KJLY – Faribault and Martin Counties Human Services are searching for potential Foster Parents to work alongside them to provide a loving, caring and stable home for county children that are in need of a safe environment with dedicated caregivers.  If interested, please call 507-238-4757 or email Bethany.Jobe@fmchs.com.

FORT DODGE – KJYL – Blanden Memorial Art Museum in Fort Dodge, hosts a family art day every Saturday. Families will be provided with art materials and instructions to create a project to take home that day. For information of projects and fees go to blanden.org or call 515-573-2316.

GLENCOE – KJLY – 2B CONTINUED is a non-profit based in Glencoe. Working to spread awareness on suicide prevention and education, they serve an eight-county area including Brown, Nicollet and Sibley counties. They also host a Suicide Loss Support Group for adult suicide survivors to share and connect with others who have experienced the loss of a loved one to suicide. KANAWHA – Every Saturday morning at 9:00, eight to ten men gather at the Kanawha City Hall for a non-denominational Bible Study. Sessions are limited to 60 minutes.  The coffee and cookies are free.  All are welcome. Bring a Bible.  Sessions are not held in the summer.

MANKATO – KJLY – Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato, offers a care-giving ministry, ‘Journeys’ on Tuesday evenings beginning with a meal during the 5 o’clock hour followed by a time of praise and worship. They then offer several groups at 6:30: Celebrate Recovery for adults, children and teens, GriefShare, Divorce Care, Light in the Dark, and Hope for Hurting Parents. MANKATO – KJLY – Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato will start their Moms Life Group on Thursday, September 11th at 6:30 PM. The group meets every 2nd and 4th Thursday during the school year from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM in Hosanna’s Fellowship Hall. MANKATO – KJLY – New Creation Church Potter’s House of Prayer is a set of weekly prayer meetings aimed at calling individuals and families to a life of prayer here in the Minnesota River Valley. Tuesdays from 6-8am and 7-9pm and Thursday 6-8am.

MANKATO – KJLY – New Creation Church has a Women’s Prayer Group that meet every Friday from 10:00 AM to noon.

MASON CITY – KJCY – The Alzheimer’s Support Group meets every 3rd Wednesday at 6:00pm at the Kentucky Ridge Assisted Living in Mason City. For more information call 641-423-5707.

MASON CITY – KJCY – Mason City Celebrate Recovery meets on Tuesdays at Praise Community Church. A meal is served at 5:15PM, Large Group meets at 6:00PM and Small Group meets at 7:00PM. This program is for ages 18 and older and childcare is available.

MOUNTAIN LAKE – KJLY – Moms in Prayer meet every Tuesday at 10:00AM at Center Point Church.

NEW ULM – KJLY – Community and Seniors Together (C.A.S.T.) Senior Center, is located in New Ulm Community Center, open Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 4:00PM. NORTH MANKATO – KJLY – Beginning September 13th the Jesus Cares Ministry provides Gospel fellowship for individuals with developmental and mental disabilities. This group meets at St. Paul Lutheran Church in North Mankato. With simplified music, engaging Bible lessons, and joy-filled activities, the message of Jesus’ redeeming love is given on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month. OKOBOJI – KJIA – Bereaved Parents is a monthly support group for those who have lost a child, stepchild or grandchild to death. The group meets the third Tuesday of the month at 7PM at the Good News Community Church in Okoboji. For more information, please call 712-332-5698.

WELLS – KJLY – The Clothes Closet in Wells is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM plus the second Saturday each month from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

WELLS – KJLY – The WAY, Well’s area youth will meet at 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays at United South-Central auditorium. This will be a night of worship, teaching and small groups.  This is sponsored by Wells area churches.

WINNEBAGO – KJLY – The Lutheran Church of Our Savior is having a program for ages Pre-school through first grade on every Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Parents can fill out the registration form when they bring their child(ren) to the program. Parents are invited to stay if they wish for the Bible story, craft, games, and a snack.
