Well, Don\u2019t I Feel Handy Today? <\/span>\ud83d\ude0a<\/span><\/p>\n

The check engine light was on again.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, with our vehicles, that is not necessarily cause for alarm. It feels like at least one of our cars always has a check engine light glowing somewhere. But this time, our “Bruiser Cruiser” was also running rough, so I figured I should investigate.<\/span><\/p>\n

I pulled out my little diagnostic tool and plugged it in. Usually, when I get a code back, it means one thing: I am about to call someone who knows what they are doing.<\/span><\/p>\n

I am not a particularly handy person.<\/span><\/p>\n

But this time, the code pointed to the ignition coils. And I thought, <\/span>Wait a minute… I’ve done that before.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

So I bought the parts, replaced the coils, and crossed my fingers.<\/span><\/p>\n

And it worked.<\/span><\/p>\n

The engine smoothed out. The problem was fixed.<\/span><\/p>\n

I think no one was more surprised than I was.<\/span><\/p>\n

It got me thinking about how often we underestimate what God has already taught us. When a new challenge comes along, we assume we are not equipped, not qualified, or not capable. But sometimes God has been preparing us all along through experiences we have already had.<\/span><\/p>\n

2 Timothy 1:6 says, <\/span>“Fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you.”<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

God often uses what He has already placed in our lives. The lessons we have learned. The skills we have developed. The experiences we have gained.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sometimes we are praying for a miracle when God is saying, “Remember what I already taught you.”<\/span><\/p>\n

So if you are facing a challenge today, do not immediately assume you are incapable. Take a look at what God has already done in your life. He may have prepared you for this moment long before you realized it.<\/span><\/p>\n
