She is using the time to visit a bunch of religious sites, one being what is believed to be the tallest cross in the world.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Valley of the Fallen cross outside of Madrid, Spain stands at 492 feet and is <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">so tall that it can be seen from 40 miles away. It sits on a monument to immortalize Spanish civil war dead, which explains the monument\u2019s name. Roughly 34 thousand soldiers are buried there, from both sides of the war &#8211; half on one side of the cross and half on the other.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">First Corinthians 1:18 looks at two ways people see the cross. It says, \u201cFor the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.\u201d\u00a0 For some it is a sign of failure.
