Ever hear a knock on your door and feel a pang of anxiety? When it happened to me yesterday, my first thought wasn\u2019t “Welcome! Come on in!\u201d Nope – it was, “My house is a mess!” It was a mad dash to try and hide what I could of the clutter.<\/span><\/p>\n

There was a man in the Word who received an unexpected houseguest. Zacchaeus was a man with plenty of spiritual clutter\u2014greed, dishonesty, and a less-than-stellar reputation. Yet, when Jesus looked up into that sycamore tree, He didn’t ask for a cleaned-up version of Zacchaeus. He simply said, <\/span>“I\u2019m coming to your house today.”<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Zacchaeus didn\u2019t hide or make excuses about the mess. He opened the door and found something better than judgment: he found grace.<\/span><\/p>\n

You may feel like your house isn’t ready for a visitor. But when the Lord knocks on the door of your heart, don’t let fear of what\u2019s inside keep it locked. Let Him in.<\/span><\/p>\n
