Bring me flashes of lightning and booms of thunder and I am giddy as a schoolgirl. When storms turn severe, that\u2019s when I go into action mode and get prepared.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other than a few shingles getting damaged a couple of years ago, I have never had property damaged in a storm. On the other hand, some of those \u201cstorms of life\u201d have done quite a bit of harm.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The sudden, unexpected crises that creep up on us can really turn our world upside down. They don\u2019t have to when we place our trust in the One who is in control. In Isaiah 41:13, we find this promise from the Lord: \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, &#8220;Do not fear; I will help you.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you see a storm coming your way, know that it\u2019s not taking God by surprise.
