It took just one minor detour on my route home to land me in a drive thru and an ice cream sundae in my hands.\u00a0 It was delicious but an hour later, the sugar rush was gone and that familiar empty feeling was back again.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It reminded me of the question posed to us in Isaiah 55:2: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy?&#8221;<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> We do this constantly, and not just with dessert. We chase after temporary things and wonder why we still feel hungry for more. Nothing can compete with the riches of God\u2019s love and grace.
