I had to laugh when a text popped up on my phone: <\/span>“New Year, Same Amazing God\u2014only $10!”<\/span><\/i> I knew this came from a company that sells Christian themed clothing, but the wording had me thinking how often we try to put a price tag on our faith.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We often treat our relationship with God like something we have to earn or a deal we have to close. But Christmas reminds us that the best offer in history wasn’t a clearance sale; it was a total gift. Jesus didn\u2019t come with a price tag of $10 or even a list of requirements. He came to give us what we could never afford.<\/span><\/p>\n

Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” I think it\u2019s time we stop trying to buy what\u2019s already been paid for.<\/span><\/p>\n
