I haven\u2019t seen them in a while so it should be a lot of fun. There\u2019s one little hitch, though. I have to bring a white elephant gift.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Christmas shopping for me is hard enough, but a white elephant gift? Knowing these friends, it has to be quirky, absolutely useless, probably a regrettable purchase, and something that will create some good laughter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s not exactly the criteria you think about when you consider the gifts we receive from God. All of the wonderful things we have in our lives are just not described that way. God\u2019s gifts and blessings are amazing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">James 1:17 says, \u201cEvery good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.&#8221; God doesn&#8217;t give us spiritual &#8220;white elephants.&#8221; He gives only what is good and perfect.
