When did you get a really good deal?<\/p>\n

Morning Devotional:<\/u><\/p>\n

I was already running late for work yesterday morning when I went to open my garage door and\u2026 nothing.\u00a0 It would lift about a foot off the ground and stop. I jumped out of my car and tried to lift the door myself. It would barely move. I pushed it up with everything I had, backed my car out of the garage, and when I went to close the door, it slammed back down into place. A more thorough inspection that afternoon determined that the spring above the door had snapped in two. My car will be without shelter until I can get a repairman to come and fix it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

How often do we try to muscle through our worries, lift our heavy burdens and fix our own problems, only to find that we\u2019re powerless? That our own “springs” are broken? The thought brings to mind 2 Corinthians 12:9, where the Lord says, \u201cMy grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When it comes to those big doors in life, guess what? I can’t lift them, and that’s okay. God isn’t asking me to. He’s just asking me to admit my spring is broken so His perfect strength can do the heavy lifting for me.<\/span><\/p>\n
