It’s National Grouch Day. How did you handle a grouch?<\/p>\n

On our way home from an event last night, I got into a conversation with two co-workers about things we are afraid of. One of my greatest moments of fear had to do with a bat.<\/span><\/p>\n

I was home alone at night when I heard a scratching sound coming from my bathroom. I went in the bathroom to discover a bat was hanging on the other side of a metal vent in my bathroom wall. Armed with absolutely nothing to get rid of this bat, and unable to scream or get help, I did what I thought was best to defeat my foe.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Armed with a roll of clear packing tape and a can of wasp repellent, I went to work. I sealed up the vent with the tape, leaving a small hole big enough for the bat\u2019s nose. When the bat would approach the hole, I would aim the can of repellent through the hole and douse the bat with it. This process repeated for the better part of an hour, I don\u2019t know if the bat died, but eventually it either got sick or gave up because it finally let go from its perch and fell down the shaft, never to be seen by me again.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Tape and wasp repellent aren\u2019t exactly the best tools to use when fighting an enemy. In the trials of life, we can approach the battle better armed for the fight. We do that by taking up the full armor of God, and through prayer. Those tools hold up far better than tape and repellent. They will chase every enemy away.<\/span><\/p>\n
