My first instinct was to pour it down the drain, but I remembered a bread recipe I found that specifically calls for sour milk. I had just enough milk for the recipe, so I got out my bread maker and I tried it. Miracles do happen, because it ended up turning into one of the best loaves of bread I have ever made.

There are times when we look at our own lives and think we are expired. We look at our past mistakes, our personal failures, all the sour parts of our story and assume they’ve disqualified us somehow in God’s eyes. But that’s not the case. God sees the regrets and failures we want to throw away and knows exactly how to use them. He turns them into a recipe of redemption and a story of grace that in His amazing way, not only nourishes us but others as well.
