My dog, Abbie, was barking in the middle of the night.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was the first time I caught her doing it, too. She was actively dreaming about something and from the tone of her bark and the occasional low growl, there seemed to be some sort of concern in that little canine brain of hers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I generally don\u2019t have difficulty falling asleep but lately, I\u2019ve had trouble staying asleep. I wake up in the middle of the night quite often with my brain in overdrive. I\u2019m thinking about a problem at work, a family situation that needs tending to, or an obligation that I\u2019m struggling to meet. When I find myself caught up in my troubles and worries, I have to make it a point to give them all over to God.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">King David had to do this and I believe he did it well, as he wrote this in Psalm 3:5: \u201cI lie down and sleep; I awake again, because the Lord sustains me.\u201d That\u2019s not just positive thinking, that\u2019s David\u2019s faith speaking.
