I left work in a rush to get to an appointment, and I didn\u2019t really stop after that. When it was time for dinner, I didn\u2019t have time to cook, and nothing sounded good to me except for one thing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dessert.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I went to an ice cream shop for dinner and enjoyed a chocolate, caramel, cookie crumble, way too many calories for me concoction that was oh so good. I enjoyed every spoonful and as I did, I pondered this question: Why is something this good always served last at a meal? Is it because we enjoy the anticipation of what is to come? Must we long for the satisfaction of that last sweet taste?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It just so happens I was talking with a friend last week about things like heaven, the Lord\u2019s return and the anticipation surrounding the day we are reunited with Him. It is all very much like dessert &#8211; a moment in time when all will finally be made right.
