I was on my way home from work when I saw it on the sidewalk – a good old fashioned lemonade stand. Not one to pass up the opportunity to support budding entrepreneurs, I stopped to check out what these elementary school-aged business owners had to offer. They had quite the selection to choose from: regular lemonade, pink lemonade or fruit punch, and if I bought more than one glass, I got a free sticker. It was a great deal, and I left with a smile on my face, some new friends, and my thirst sufficiently satisfied. Totally worth the $1.50.<\/span><\/p>\n

Before I had stopped at the lemonade stand, I honestly needed a pick-me-up. I was tired and had been wrestling with a major decision, but in that five-minute conversation over lemonade and the merits of friendship bracelets, I found myself refreshed in more ways than one. I was so glad that I had stopped at that little oasis God had set before me because it reminded me that even in the driest of places, He brings us not only what we need to survive but also thrive.<\/span><\/p>\n

In Isaiah 43:20-21, the Lord says, \u201c<\/span>I provide water in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen, the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise.\u201d By the time I got back into the car, I was thanking God for the joy He gave me, and for filling my cup once again.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
