For the first time, I heard my puppy snore. It wasn\u2019t a cute, muted type of snore, either. This snore was intense, it could have registered on the Richter scale.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">My dog was sawing logs in the middle of the night while I was lying awake in bed, thinking about a number of things going on in my life. I was thinking about work, about family matters, about what the Lord was revealing to me about it all and frankly, my mind was swimming. I was concerned, worried, even fearful about what was coming my way and my internal monologue was becoming intense.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now I\u2019m no stranger to a sleepless night and I am grateful to God for a big lesson He has taught me over the years. What can we do in those moments when we find ourselves overwhelmed by worry? Two things &#8211; cast our cares over to God and claim His promises of rest.
