It has never happened to me.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Many of us struggle with letting God have complete control over our lives. The self-sufficient \u201cI can take care of it myself\u201d streak in me rears its ugly head a lot. I like devising a plan and sticking to it, but God always has something better and His ways of getting us to navigate His plan aren\u2019t always the most comfortable.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I was feeling that way when I went to the Word the other night and stumbled on a verse I hadn\u2019t seen before. Jeremiah 10:23 says, \u201cLord<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, I know that people\u2019s lives are not their own; it is not for them to direct their steps.\u201d That verse points to two important truths we have to accept. One, our lives don\u2019t belong to us; and two, we are not the ones who are ultimately in control of our lives. If the Lord is truly our Lord, we should be surrendering our will and our plans to His.
