I was enjoying a drive in my brand new SUV the other day when I heard a strange sound I had never heard before come from the dashboard. Along with it came a bright orange light I had never seen before. You can probably guess what it was. It was a low fuel light.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

My eyes focused on the fuel gauge and sure enough, I was getting pretty close to an empty fuel tank. Immediately, my lazy drive turned into a search for the nearest gas station. The longer I searched for a place to fill up, the chiming of the low fuel signal grew more intense. It didn\u2019t stop and neither did I until I found a gas station and filled my tank to the top with fuel<\/span><\/p>\n

Our spiritual lives often work the same way. When we’re feeling spiritually full, we might miss the initial, subtle warning lights that indicate our reserves are dwindling. It could be things like a creeping sense of weariness, a struggle to find joy, or a growing distance from God. They come on gently at first but are divine signals.<\/span><\/p>\n

In Matthew 11:28, Jesus says, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” When those spiritual warning lights flicker, we shouldn’t ignore them. Instead, we need to immediately turn to Jesus, our ultimate source of replenishment. Just like I raced to the gas station, we should run to Him in prayer, immerse ourselves in His Word, and seek fellowship with other believers. Don’t let your spiritual tank run completely dry; fill up at the source of all life!<\/span><\/p>\n
