\u201cWho is that kid?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

I was walking through my house when a random blond girl strolled by. I did a double take\u2026 not my kid. Then I noticed another child sitting at the table\u2014nope, not mine either. I glanced out at the trampoline in the backyard. There were three kids bouncing and laughing, but at least one of them didn\u2019t belong to me.<\/span><\/p>\n

This kind of thing happens a lot. We often have neighbor kids hanging out with our kids\u2014kids from up the street, across the yard, or just down the block. And honestly, I love it.<\/span><\/p>\n

To me, it means our home feels like a safe place. A place where kids know they\u2019re welcome. A place where they can laugh, play, be themselves, and\u2014hopefully\u2014catch a glimpse of the love of Jesus.<\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s what we want our homes to be, right? Not just a shelter from the weather, but a refuge from the world. A place filled with peace, joy, grace, and love. A place where the presence of God can be felt in the little things\u2014snacks at the table, a listening ear, or a game of tag in the yard.<\/span><\/p>\n


\n<\/span>You may not always know who\u2019s walking through your house or sitting at your kitchen table, but if your home is a place where others feel loved and safe, you\u2019re doing something right. Hospitality doesn\u2019t have to be perfect or planned\u2014it just has to be full of Jesus. And that kind of open-door love has a way of planting seeds that can grow into faith.<\/span><\/p>\n
