When has serving someone else unexpectedly blessed\u00a0<\/span>you<\/span><\/i>\u00a0in return?<\/span><\/p>\n

“The Right ID”<\/b><\/p>\n

Oh, it was an ordeal.<\/span><\/p>\n

My adult daughter Kalvary needed to renew her driver\u2019s license\u2014a task that\u2019s never exactly convenient. But on top of that, she realized she would soon be flying and needed a REAL ID, the new federally compliant identification now required for air travel.<\/span><\/p>\n

What followed was the kind of chaos many of us have experienced at the DMV: multiple trips, conflicting information, and a scavenger hunt for the right combination of documents. Finally, after all the effort, she was handed\u2026 a piece of paper. A temporary ID. It wasn\u2019t the real thing\u2014and unfortunately, it wouldn\u2019t get her through airport security in time for her flight.<\/span><\/p>\n

Plan B: her passport. But that, too, was on the brink of expiration. So began round two\u2014expedited processing, overnight shipping, and more money spent. After weeks of frustration, she finally had the documentation she needed to fly.<\/span><\/p>\n

All that effort\u2014just to prove who she was to the right people.<\/span><\/p>\n

And it hit me: There\u2019s a spiritual parallel here. So many of us go through life trying to prove our worth\u2014gathering accomplishments, good deeds, credentials. We jump through hoops hoping we\u2019ll be seen, accepted, \u201ccleared for takeoff\u201d in the eyes of God.<\/span><\/p>\n

But the beautiful truth of the gospel is this: when we put our faith in Jesus, we are already fully known, fully loved, and fully accepted. We don\u2019t need to scramble to prove ourselves. We don\u2019t need to fear being turned away.<\/span><\/p>\n

“But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob,
\nAnd He who formed you, O Israel:
\n‘Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
\nI have called you by name;
\nYou are Mine.'” \u2014 Isaiah 43:1<\/p>\n

When you belong to Jesus, <\/span>that<\/span><\/i> is your real identity\u2014unshakable, eternal, and never needing renewal. There\u2019s no temporary pass. No Plan B. He knows your name, and that\u2019s more than enough.<\/span><\/p>\n
