Most of us were gathered around the dinner table, enjoying our meal and conversation, when I paused and said, \u201cHey\u2026 did you hear that? Did Glory fall?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Our 18-year-old daughter, Glory, had eaten earlier and was downstairs in the basement. I thought I heard something unusual\u2014maybe a thud or a crash\u2014but my wife Kris said she didn\u2019t hear anything, so we all shrugged it off and kept eating.<\/span><\/p>\n

A few minutes later, Glory came up the stairs with a strange look on her face.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cDid you fall or something?\u201d I asked.<\/span><\/p>\n

She shook her head. \u201cNo\u2026 but I did drop a glass bowl. It shattered\u2014like, <\/span>everywhere.<\/span><\/i>\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Turns out, I <\/span>had<\/span><\/i> heard something.<\/span><\/p>\n

That moment reminded me how often we sense something in our spirit\u2014an urge to pray, a nudge to check in on someone, or a whisper of God\u2019s prompting\u2014and we dismiss it because no one else seems to notice. But just because others don\u2019t hear what you hear doesn\u2019t mean God isn\u2019t speaking.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMy sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.\u201d<\/span><\/i> \u2013 John 10:27 (NIV)<\/span><\/p>\n

God\u2019s voice doesn\u2019t always come with flashing lights or a booming sound. Sometimes it\u2019s just a quiet sense that something\u2019s off\u2014or that someone needs you. Don’t ignore the prompting. You might just be hearing something important that no one else can. Be attentive. Be obedient. And trust that when you lean in to listen, God will lead you.<\/span><\/p>\n
