I got a letter from the Internal Revenue Service.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Had I missed something on my tax return? Was I about to be audited? All of the worst-case scenarios ran through my head as I opened the envelope. Once I read the letter, though, my fears subsided.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cYour personal information was used to access the IRS online service on April 12th, 2025,\u201d it read. \u201cIf you accessed the service, you don\u2019t need to do anything.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thankfully, the person that accessed the IRS online service on April 12th was indeed me. I was thankful that the letter was nothing nefarious, but my thoughts wandered to something that prompted my devotional reading for the evening.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Internal Revenue Service may not know what I have done on a given day or even know me by name, but we have a heavenly Father who does. Hebrews 4:13 tells us, \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nothing in all creation is hidden from God\u2019s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The IRS just sees names and numbers, maybe a date or two. But God? He sees <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">everything<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Every little thing we do, good and bad, the stuff we&#8217;re proud of and the things we try to hide. The amazing thing is, even though He knows all the messy parts of us, He still pours out His grace. He sees it all, the whole picture, and loves us anyway.
