Now that spring is here, I am finding myself taking inventory of all the projects that need to get done around the house. The list continues to grow, as do the expenses needed for each project.<\/span><\/p>\n

Last fall, I noticed a problem with the concrete slabs that make up my back patio. A few of the pieces of concrete were slowly becoming uneven, with one in particular rising up to create about a half inch lip above the rest of the patio.\u00a0 It has become the perfect trip hazard and if there is anyone who will trip on it, it\u2019s me.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s the fix for the problem? I\u2019m not sure, but I do know the foundation of my patio has been compromised and will need to be reinforced.<\/span><\/p>\n

The problem is one of many this homeowner will have to deal with in the months and years to come. When it comes to matters of faith, I know our foundation is the Lord. He is the solid ground we need each and every day. He is solid, secure, and forever faithful to keep us from falling.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Psalm 18:2 says that \u201cThe Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer.\u201d\u00a0 If I am going to stand on anything, may it be our God, who is the most secure of foundations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
