That punt fake and long bomb pass that puts the football into the end zone, the nearly full court shot for a basket at the buzzer in basketball &#8211; those plays are the kind that change everything. I love those moments, and that\u2019s a reason why I am so drawn to a particular event surrounding Jesus\u2019 crucifixion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Luke\u2019s account contains one of those last-minute plays. As Jesus hung on the cross, two criminals were crucified alongside Him. One was hurling insults at Him, but the other criminal made a desperate request. \u201cJesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That criminal knew this would be his last play. The proverbial buzzer was about to sound, but when confronted with his sin and his eternal future he made the winning play, as proved by Christ\u2019s response.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cTruly I tell you,\u201d Jesus said, \u201cYou will be with Me in paradise.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A thief found forgiveness and grace from a Savior who not only died with him, but for him. Jesus did the same for you.
