The answers rarely come in our timing, and we don\u2019t always receive what we ask for, but He does hear and answer them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When we ask God for something, we understand and expect a response of either \u201cyes\u201d or \u201cno.\u201d Have you ever received His third answer, \u201cnot yet?\u201d When our prayers don\u2019t seem to be answered, we find ourselves in what can be a very uncomfortable holding pattern.\u00a0 We don\u2019t know what to do, where to go, what to think or how to proceed. I find that to be a very hard place, and it is easy for me to become resentful toward God there.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">God gives us the \u201cnot yet\u201d answer for good reason, though. We may not understand all of the implications of what we are asking for and need to be on His timing to see stuff sorted out. We may find that what we\u2019re asking for isn\u2019t right for us at all. Most importantly, the delay may be there to allow God to do a work in us.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I\u2019ve had to wait on God a lot, and it is tough to do so. Whatever your prayer is today, know that it is okay to be in the \u201cnot yet\u201d phase of operation.
