What are you praying for this Christmas?<\/p>\n

Morning Devotional<\/span>:<\/p>\n

I have days where I really want to see our world turned upside down.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I want to see some wrongs righted in the world. I want to see hungry people fed and broken lives put back together. I want to see people who have little in this life completely blown over by the blessings of God. I also want to see people understand that what appears to be foolishness is in reality, God\u2019s wisdom.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I think Mary had that same desire.<\/span><\/p>\n

In Luke chapter one, Mary visits her cousin Elizabeth and witnesses Elizabeth\u2019s unborn child leap in his mother\u2019s womb when in proximity to her own. Even pre-born John the Baptist knew that Mary\u2019s son would shake things up in this world. In response, Mary sings of this upending, made possible through God\u2019s divine grace.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHe has performed mighty deeds with his arm; he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts.<\/span> He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble.<\/span> He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty. He has helped his servant Israel, remembering to be merciful<\/span> to Abraham and his descendants forever, just as he promised our ancestors.\u201d (Luke 1:51-55)<\/span><\/p>\n

I am not going to doubt the Lord\u2019s agenda one iota. After all, because of Him, the way has been made for every one of us to be a member of His glorious, upside-down Kingdom.<\/span><\/p>\n
