For instance, I need to deep clean the house. I know I need to have a couple of projects for my Dad to work on to keep him busy. I also need to do a major grocery shopping spree and pick up things that they eat that I normally don\u2019t. For my mother, I know I don\u2019t have enough salt in the house.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I don\u2019t use table salt all that much but my mother salts everything. I\u2019m often shocked by how much she salts her food but to her, the salt makes everything taste better. I\u2019d rather pass on the salt shaker myself. An occasional serving of potato chips suits me just fine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We all know there are all kinds of uses for salt. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before refrigeration, salt was necessary to preserve food.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Salt can prevent fruit from browning, it keeps flowers fresh and keeps ants away. It can de-ice roads, it has numerous cleansing properties, and in Matthew 5:13, Jesus calls us the salt of the earth. We are to have an influence in our world and we do that by sprinkling God\u2019s love on the people around us.
